Misconceptions & Need-to-Knows about your DJ/VJ & their time.

We here at Elegance & Co. don't want you to feel as if you're paying some DJ to come and play music for you. No, we want to make sure you understand that you are making an important INVESTMENT, and we truly appreciate that investment.

When you INVEST with us, you are investing in someone who not only is responsible for 80% of your wedding's success, but also someone who has been in the field for over 20 years. We know all of the ins and outs and have made it our business and passion to make sure your special day goes off without a hitch.

Keep this in mind when you are hiring a DJ/VJ. Do you truly want to put your trust and possibly $300 to $400 in someone with little or no experience? Or are you willing to pay for peace of mind and the confidence that when you invest with us, you're investing in EXPERIENCE, DIVERSITY & EXCLUSIVITY.

There seems to be some misconceptions about how much time your Elegance DJ, VJ or videographer spends on any given job. Well, after being a professional DJ on cruise ships, Walt Disney World, hundreds of night clubs and now going on our 400th wedding, I can certainly say that most if not all brides and grooms have no idea the time spent on the reception by their DJ. Therefore,I feel it is my duty to inform our clients and future clients about what exactly you get with one of our packages.

It normally takes your DJ 8 1/2 to 9 hours to put your reception together.

1st Your DJ spends at least 1-2 hours driving to meet with you.

2nd It takes 2 hours to put together and coordinate your reception planner.

3rd Your DJ sets up an entire hour (sometimes 2 and 1/2) before your guests arrive.

4th Your Elegance DJ/VJ spends up to 2 hours putting our free Thank You CDs together for your honeymoon.

5th If you are getting the Love Story Visual Art Package, then your DJ/VJ will spend a minimum of 4-5 days on just the video alone.

So as you can see, DJs and VJs are not all alike, and certainly Elegance DJs is not like any other DJ/VJ service. Other mobile DJ companies like to boast about their employee numbers. Well, it's not the amount of DJs or VJs you have working for you, it's the talent within one DJ or VJ that makes the difference.

We employee two DJs and one VJ ONLY. This is because we want to keep our quality at it's highest. We set aside trying to overflow our pockets, by sending some wannabe DJ/VJ to your event. That's not what Elegance & Company is about.

We are your EXCLUSIVE DJ/VJ and videography company. We work only with weddings, and we are only booked by you for that whole day. Our DJ/VJ will be fresh, and ready to go for as long as you need.

Elegance & Company is all about making your dream reception come true in an elegant,classy and professional manner at all times.

Should you tip your DJ? Ahh, such a touchy subject for some, yet an obvious one for others. Some DJs will say no. Well, we say, "Of course." Considering the time and serious effort that goes into running the show, handling last minute changes, requests, people to coordinate, not to mention making sure the music is spot on so ALL of your guests are having fun...well, in our book, this would constitute a tip. You tip your limo driver, your hair stylist, your bartenders, so the question would really be, why wouldn't you tip your DJ. Now, keep in mind, if you are not satisfied with your DJ then, of course, don't tip him or her.

We have an unlimited request list, due to our wireless connection to our laptop, which is brought with us to every event.
We wear either very nice suites, or a classy vested (NO CUMBERBUN) black and white tux, your choice.
You will never see any tacky banner with us.
We are also proud sponsors of the Make A Wish Foundation. We don't eat at your reception, instead we ask that whatever you were going to have to pay for us to eat, you instead donate that amount to Make A Wish We supply their envelopes for easy payment.
